Report a Claim

In the event of a claim, the insured should notify their insurance carrier according to the terms and conditions of the policy.

For claims on policies written by Greenwich Insurance Company (XL):

Follow the claims reporting requirements outlined in the Conditions section of the policy.

In addition, Insureds must provide immediate notice of:

  • Any claim, either paid or expected to be paid, for 50% or more of the limits of insurance listed in Scheduled Underlying Insurance or underlying retention; or
  • Any claim or suit in which XL is named as a defendant.

 

Insureds must give us immediate notice of a claim involving any injury of the following types:

  • Fatality
  • Paraplegia or quadriplegia
  • Dismemberment or amputation
  • Loss of or impairment of eyesight or hearing
  • Brain injuries
  • Burns

For claims on policies written by Zurich:

Follow the claims reporting requirements outlined in the Conditions section of the policy.

In addition, as an added service feature, to report a loss you may also call

1.866.IRF.LOSS (1.866.473.5677 Toll Free) 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

. A claims representative from our service center will assist you with the claim notification and instruct you where to mail or electronically transmit related documentation.

Your account has been coded with a unique alpha identifier along with a numeric location listing. Please refer to the attached worksheet for this information. This data will greatly assist the speed and efficiency of the reporting procedure and we strongly suggest you circulate this list to the appropriate property manager for their records.
