As Executive Vice President of Preferred Brokerage, J.C. leads the large risk property & casualty brokerage division of Preferred Concepts. With experience on both the retail and wholesale side of insurance, J.C. and his team have longstanding and trusted relationships with domestic and global underwriters.  J.C. was a co-founder of Mercator Risk Services, Inc. along with Michael Ryan and Christopher Treanor in 2005, and led the company’s property and casualty operations.   He  joined Preferred Concepts in 2010 during the acquisition of Mercator.

Previously, J.C. served as Managing Director at Marsh Atlanta, where he ran property operations for the southern United States.  During his 14 years at Marsh, J.C. also held several leadership positions in retail and wholesale operations within Marsh in Chicago and New York.  He began his insurance career with The Prudential in Newark, NJ.

J.C. graduated from Cornell University in 1989 with a B.S. in Communications.
