Kerry A. Capen is Vice President, Controller of the Hartford office of Preferred Concepts. She currently manages premium collections and payments for Preferred Brokerage and Preferred Advantage as well as surplus lines tax reporting and compliance for the company. She has over ten years’ experience working in operations at wholesale brokerage firms. Prior to joining Preferred Concepts she was Controller of Mercator Risk Services Hartford office. Kerry previously was a GAAP/SEC Accountant at Executive Risk, Inc. and an auditor with Coopers & Lybrand. Kerry is a Certified Public Accountant and member of the CSCPA. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Nichols College.
