Chief Executive Officer
Stuart Farber is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Concepts. Stuart founded the company in 1989 and since that time has grown the entity from a single operation in New York City to a national enterprise that includes program administration, wholesale brokerage, online platforms and industry specialty underwriting. Stuart brings over 30 years of underwriting and program development experience to the company and oversees corporate strategy and overall direction. His top priorities are organic, acquisitive and creative growth plans for the company.
Before founding Preferred Concepts, Stuart held multiple roles in several national underwriting and brokerage operations, producing a book of wholesale business as well as developing programs through key carrier relationships. While acting as the liaison between agent, insured and carrier, he wrote construction risks for some of the largest developers in North America. He transitioned many of these construction clients into long-term clients by orchestrating the placement of permanent insurance. This experience and expertise led to the creation of Stuart’s first real estate program, one of the cornerstones of Preferred Concepts’ business model. Stuart began his career in the insurance industry at Burton Farber Associates, a family owned agency.
Stuart additionally serves as President and CEO of Expleo, LLC; a Bermuda based insurance entity; IRF Holdings and PCI Enterprises, Inc., both corporate holding companies with varied financial interests.
Stuart was a finance major educated at Northeastern University and Quinnipiac University. He is broadly and actively supporting philanthropy through his family foundation.
