Think Pink!

Think Pink!

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month.

The American Cancer Society estimates that there will be 226,870 new cases of invasive breast cancer in women and 63,000 new cases of non-invasive early breast cancer in 2012.

Early detection helps save thousands of lives every year.  We’re taking a moment to suggest that everyone “think pink” and consider these simple suggestions:

1)  Talk to each other!  Spread the word about breast cancer awareness.  Pop open an e-mail right now and tell someone you love to think about their risk and talk to their physician.

2) Check yourself!  Regular self-screenings can help with early detection.

3) Talk to Your Doctor About Mammograms!   Different organizations have issued a variety of mammogram guidelines but one thing is clear:   it is smart to talk to your doctor about your individual risk.

Get Started!

So, as hard as it is, please do tear yourself away from insurance and take a few minutes to THINK PINK and help us spread the word about breast cancer awareness.  You’ll be glad you did!  Pass the think pink message along to your colleagues and friends and family and together we can save lives!
