High Limit Umbrella Liability Program

  • Instructions for Reporting High Limit Umbrella Liability Claims

    • Policy terms and conditions with respect to claims reporting may vary.  Often claims must be reported in writing as soon as practical or as soon as possible.  Many policies also require insureds to report an incident that could give rise to a claim.  Diligent claims reporting helps to protect the insured’s interests and also helps to avoid potentially litigious situations.  As a best practice, the insured should report a claim in accordance with the terms of the policy.  Reported claims should be followed by a written acknowledgement.  If acknowledgement is not received, you must follow up to ensure that the claim has been recognized.  Coverage could be jeopardized if the claim is not acknowledged.   Verbal claim reporting is not an acceptable practice.   • For claims on policies written by Federal Insurance (TPA – York Claims Service)

    • All claims regardless of severity or location should be reported to the YORK Claims Intake Center. The YORK Claims Intake Center is ready to accept new losses and provides four ways for you to submit new loss reports:

      Important!

      • To expedite the handling of your newly reported loss, please be sure to include your York client code with each new loss report!
      • The York Client Code is 4770
      • Notices that do no require action (“incident reports”) should be clearly marked “REPORT ONLY”.

       

      The York Claims Intake Center will review all claims notices upon receipt and assign to the York handling branch office. A claim acknowledgement will then be transmitted to the designated individual advising of the York claim number and the adjuster assigned to the claim.

  • For claims on policies written by Zurich/Steadfast Insurance

    • To report a loss you may call 1-866-IRF-LOSS (1-866-473-5677) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A claims representative from our service center will assist you with the claim notification and instruct you where to mail or electronically transmit related documentation.
    • Your account has been coded with a unique alpha identifier along with numeric location listing. Please refer your certificate of insurance. This data will greatly assist the speed and efficiency of the reporting procedure and we strongly suggest you circulate this list to the appropriate property manager(s) for their records.
    • For your further convenience, you may choose one of the following reporting options:
